% PEX pipe and fittings are intended for use in multi-purpose piping systems of residential occupancies as defined in ANSI/NFPA 13D, "Installation of Sprinkler Systems in One- and Two- Family Dwellings and Manufactured Homes", the National Building Code of Canada, and the International Residential Code, Section 2904, and are designed to withstand a working pressure of not less than 130 psi at 120° F. PEX pipe and fittings are intended to be installed in accordance with the requirements specified in the manufacturer’s installation instructions and ANSI/NFPA 13D. Protection is intended to be provided for PEX pipe and fittings in multi-purpose piping systems. The minimum protection should consist of either (1) one layer of 3/8-in. gypsum wallboard, (2) a suspended membrane ceiling with lay-in panels or tiles having a weight of not less than 0.35 lbs per sq ft when installed with metallic support grids, or (3) 1/2 in plywood. PEX pipe and fittings are intended for use in areas where the maximum ambient temperature does not exceed 120° F. These pipe and fittings are not intended to be installed in outdoor applications. The PEX pipe and fittings are intended for use in wet-pipe systems only and have not been evaluated for use in dry-pipe systems. ** Pipe and fittings Certified as a system using installation and design manual titled "SureLink™ Fire Safety System". ¢ Product is authorized to bear the cNSF and/or the cNSFus Mark. |
