SPECIAL LISTING INFORMATION FOR NSF/ANSI STANDARD 61 PRODUCTS


Water contact temperatures denoted in NSF Listings
The water contact temperature shown in the NSF/ANSI 61 listings is intended to convey the end use for which the product has been evaluated. There are basically three temperature applications.

Cold water - The temperature used during testing is 23 +/- 2 °C and appears in Listings as "CLD 23". This is intended to apply to product applications where the product is used for continuous exposure to ambient water temperatures.

Domestic hot - The temperature used during testing is 60 +/- 2°C (140 +/- 4 °F) and appears in Listings as "D. Hot". This is intended to apply to product applications where the product is used for either cold (ambient temperatures) or hot water up to domestic hot temperatures.

Commercial hot - The temperature used during testing is 82 +/- 2 °C (180 +/- 4 °F) and appears in Listings as "C. Hot". This is intended to apply to product applications where the product is used for either cold (ambient temperatures) or hot water up to commercial hot temperatures.
